Explanation

Hiroshima Post Office Workers Monument

On the monument is carved, “288 workers of Hiroshima Post Office.”

As many men were called up in those days, most of the victims were females, mobilized female students, or students of higher elementary school.

On the back of the monument is the town map of Ote-machi 1-chome before the A-bombing.
