Ryushinji Temple A-bomb Victims Monument (Namikiri Fudo Statue)

Namikiri-fudoson or Wave-Calming Fudo is a Fudo-Myoo, a Buddhist divinity to calm raging waves. People pray to this divinity for a safe voyage. Its fearsome appearance with a fiery blaze on its back reminds us of those who are full of fury over the A-bombing.
