Father, Mother,
Please don' t lament over

Explanation

First Prefectural Middle School Monument

This monument was built on August 6, 1948 by the bereaved families of the First Prefectural Middle School. On the back are carved the names of the 12 teachers and 354 students who died. When it was built, the use of the term, “A-bombing,” was forbidden due to the restriction by the Occupation Army Forces.
