37. Japan Power Supply Company Workers Monument
Inside the office building near the hypocenter,
Inside the tramcar on the way to work,
Except for a few survivors,
All perished in that disaster.
Who will mourn for them?
Explanation
Japan Power Supply Company was a forerunner of the Chugoku Electric Power Co. This monument is dedicated to its 168 workers who were lost in the A-bombing.
Another monument for these dead workers is in the Hiroshima Branch Temple of Honganji Temple.
