Water rather than flowers.
Peace rather than water.
To you who were burned in the hellfire,

Explanation

Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Company Workers Monument

The Hiroshima Machinery Works of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. manufactured munitions such as torpedoes here in Kanon District. During the war, many mobilized students, girls of the volunteer corps, as well as Koreans forcibly brought to Japan, were working here.
Two hundred and fifteen A-bombed victims and workers who died performing their duties were collectively listed on this huge monument.
